Ever since we opened our doors, people have asked us how we get so many cars through here. How we can fill up, and empty the parking lot every single day with just two bays. What is that, like, 10 or 12 cars per bay? Every day???
Do we have wizards working here?
Well, it's simple really. We just don't actually fix 60% of the cars that pass through here.
How's that possible you ask?
Easy.
The placebo effect.
Let's say your brakes are grinding. You make an appointment. You drop the car off. We call you with an estimate. You approve. A few hours later we call you to let you know it's done. You come, pay the bill, and pick up the car. From your point of view you've done everything necessary to get your car fixed, so your brain makes the repair real. Just like that *POOF* no more brake grind. Or at least your mind tells you there's no more grinding noise. Easy.
Yeah it's kind of cheating. And yeah it's very dangerous. But hey, it's either that or we'd have to start using the three bays we have across the back of the building, but that's boring.
